Richard III is the ultimate tale of the pursuit of absolute power and how that power corrupts. Such a tale is timeless, but Richard is also a distinctly British tale and its historic significance (the end of the Plantagenet reign and the ascention of the House of Tudor) cannot be underplayed. We will be setting our story in its correct historical period giving our audience a glimpse of the England of Richards time. Also we will be giving our audience Richard himself. While historians debate how he is portrayed there is no doubt that Shakespeare has given us one of the most unforgettable stage villains of all time...
And everyone loves a good Villain!
