About Us

The Kiwanis Club of Los Gatos is a community service organization, serving Los Gatos, Saratoga and Monte Sereno. We are non-profit and completely made up of volunteers who simply want to do good in our community. Kiwanis International has been around since 1915 and our Los Gatos club was formed in 1923!
Jointly, the Kiwanis Club of Los Gatos and our Kiwanis Youth Leadership Clubs (currently at Blue Hills, Van Meter & Daves Elementary; Fisher Middle & Los Gatos High School)) have served community needs by doing everything from collecting new pajamas and books for children in foster care, to feeding the homeless. We host the annual, free, egg hunt at Oak Meadow Park (Hippity Hop ‘til You Drop), send cards and candy to the military overseas, make dog toys for animal shelters, and collect funds for a world-wide Tetanus Elimination Program (The Eliminate Project). We meet once a month for Trail Clean-ups. We host the Kiwanis Special Games at West Valley College for 1000 special needs and extremely challenged kids from Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties. We award over $20,000, annually, in scholarships to seniors from Saratoga and Los Gatos High Schools. Our biggest fundraiser of the year is the Fiesta de Artes in downtown Los Gatos, which is on September 21-22 this year. All funds raised from this super fun art and wine festival go right back into the community. ''Life Is Short. Do Stuff That Matters.''
