Description
Bawdy irreverence, iconoclasm, parody and puns are hallmarks of the work spawned by the University of California, Davis, in the 1960’s and 70’s. Robert Arneson, Roy De Forest, David Gilhooly, Peter VandenBerge and others took new artistic license with the Bay Area’s figurative traditions. Delve in and explore this uniquely West Coast humor in a lively presentation by San Jose Museum of Art Docent Toby Fernald.
