A whole lot of shaking will be going on at the second annual Brews and Blues Festival taking place September 5. The event features tasty barbecue food, dancing, and the exciting music of the Shakedancer Blues Revue.
Sponsored by the Saratoga Chamber of Commerce, the Brews and Blues Festival will be held 3-7 PM at Wildwood Park, 20764 Fourth Street in Saratoga. Check-in for advance ticket holders begins at 2 PM.
According to Saratoga Chamber of Commerce Coordinator Pat Martell, “This festival offers so many different things—craft beers, incredible barbecue, and exciting live rock and blues musicians playing non-stop—all in a beautiful park. The location is near downtown so people can come early and take advantage of the many boutiques and unique shops of Saratoga. What a great way to spend an afternoon.”
Dance to Doo-wop, Soulful blues and More
The Shakedancer Blues Revue includes Aki Kumar, powerhouse harp player and producer; Little Jonny aka Jon Lawton known for his guitar and vocals; Andy Santana harmonica player and vocalist; versatile Big Jon Atkinson on the harmonica, guitar, bass and drums; Kyle Jester with his electric blues and rock and roll style; and Rusty Zinn featuring fused blues, reggae and soul stylings. Each musician has CDs for sale. Feel like shaking to the beat? There’s space for dancing around the stage.
Offering Micro Brews and Wine
Popular micro breweries such as Hermitage Brewing Company, Faultline Brewing Company, and Santa Clara Brewing Company will serve a choice of tasty brews to quench thirst. Those who enjoy full-flavored craft beers will have a choice of traditional to flavored craft beers, all in one location. Those preferring wine can purchase a variety of award winning wine from House Family Vineyards.
Sizzling On-site Grilling
Handheld Catering will provide a selection of food with on-site smoked and grilled beef sliders, brats, vegetarian fare and more.
