DESCRIPTION:Vine Life\, located in Saratoga Village is proud to introduce "Vino Vargas" on Saturday January 19th\, 4:00pm to 6:00pm.\n\n \n\nPlease join us as we taste the first releases from the new winery\, Vino Vargas.  The Vino Vargas collection of wines offers a diverse selection of grape varietals that are well known around the world\, yet sourced from select single vineyards in California.  Each bottle of wine is meticulously handcrafted using only the best grapes.\n\n \n\nFor our tasting\, owner and winemaker Pedro Vargas will be pouring:\n\n \n\n2011 El Taxi\, Clements Hill   80% Cabernet Sauvignon & 20% Merlot\n\nAromas of currants\, tobacco\, chocolate and black pepper.  Silky tannins and moderate acidity make it a wine to drink alone or with food.\n\n \n\n2011 Miserere\, Mokelumme River\, - 100% Merlot\n\nAromas of plums\, blackberry\, currants\, tobacco and vanilla.  Velvety tannins and light acidity make the wine well suited for drinking by itself or pairing with grilled meats\, poultry\, soft cheeses and chocolate desserts.\n\n \n\n2011 Toro Tinto\, Lake County   100% Tempranillo\n\nOn the nose\, strawberry\, raspberry\, tobacco and cedar.  Well balanced with moderate tannins and acidity\, will pair well with paella\, pasta\, tapas\, and lamb.\n\n \n\n2011 Rio Russo\, Russian River   100% Pinot Noir\n\nA beautiful nose of strawberry and juicy black cherry.  On the palette\, savor a well balanced\, slightly fruit forward taste with a long silky finish.  Pair this Pinot with brie\, lighter meats\, poultry and fish.\n\n \n\nThere will be a $7.00 charge at the door\, refundable with purchase of wine.
